How many females do you know that are a healthy weight yet complain about being fat and/or overweight?

Exactly. Television and magazines are riddled with overweight women. This results in unrealistic expecations. Ashley, make sure you take a look at the link for the USA Today article. It is a wonderful article on the banning of unhealthy/overly thin models at a fashion show in Madrid. It's inspirational and makes me think there's hope!

I've done this even though I know I'm a good size. I think its because the models and actresses make me feel like I could always weigh less. Last summer I tried hydroxcutt, and don't take it!!!! It made me really moody and depressed.

Yeah, hydroxcutt is terrible for you! It really messed up my moods and my boyfriend even noticed how mean it made me. I was going through a really hard tough time. I don't that I can blame the media but even though I was a nice size, I didn't feel good about myself. Makes me wonder. Does the media have that much of an influence? Do we allow it to have such an influence?

I think I do this sometimes. But when I see really pretty skinny girls on tv, it doesn't help. They should put healthy females on tv more often. I love the Dove commercials because they portray healthy females who don't look like they're starving. It makes me feel normal.
